Biography

THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - Has served as a capable and dependable quarterback the past three seasons...combines with Tim Maypray to give the Keydets as dynamic a quarterback combo as there is in the conference...has great poise and presence...possesses a respected throwing arm and has improved his execution of the option game...worked hard to help develop team passing game in the spring...looking forward to a big senior season...a proven and returning all-conference performer.

2008 - Was on track to put up big numbers once again but had season sidetracked by midseason injury that caused him to miss four games...played in seven games with one start (CCU)...led the team in passing yards...threw for over two-thirds of his season passing yardage over the last two games of the season, when he completed eight of 12 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns against Coastal Carolina and connected on six of seven passes for 151 yards against Presbyterian...his 90-yard TD pass to Zach Collins against Coastal Carolina was the second-longest touchdown pass in school history, and the longest in BSC history... tossed a 61-yard pass completion against Ohio...rushed for a season-high 53 yards against Chowan.   

2007 - Named Second Team All-Big South at quarterback...rushed for 444 yards and five touchdowns and completed 51.3% of his passes for 1,097 yards and 11 TD's...named Big South Offensive Player of the Week when he became the second player in VMI history to both rush and pass for over 100 yards in a game vs. Robert Morris (136 rush, 108 pass)...recorded back-to-back 300-yard total offense games against Coastal Carolina (317) and Charleston Southern (308)...tossed a touchdown pass in seven straight games...completed 10-of-17 passes for 229 yards passing and two TD's vs. Coastal Carolina and 11-of-19 passes for career-high 261 yards and three TD's including an Big South record 87-yarder...handled the punting chores and averaged 33.5 yards for 40 punts with a long of 54 yards.

2006 - Did not play the first three games but was thrust into action in week four against William & Mary in his hometown of Williamsburg when starting QB Jonathan Wilson went down with a shoulder injury in the second quarter...completed four of nine passes for 72 yards including a 28-yarder... made three consecutive starts the next three games against James Madison, Army, and Coastal Carolina...engineered the offense to a near win against league champ Coastal Carolina and rushed 13 times for 67 yards and completed eight of 13 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown...completed ten of 13 passes against James Madison for 113 yards and a touchdown...came in for Wilson midway in the first quarter in the season finale against Liberty and completed three of six passes for 57 yards including a 34-yarder and tossed a TD strike before halftime as the offense garnered a season-high 32 points against the Flames...earned his first varsity letter.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Va...Four-year starter at QB...three-time First Team Virginia Gazette...Virginia Gazette Offensive Player of the Year...Second Team Daily Press (2004, 2005)... Second Team Bay Rivers District (2004, 2005)...holds Lafayette’s season (1,452) and career passing marks (4,153)...completed 92/148 passes for 1,423 yds and 11 TD’s during 2005...threw for 1,452 yds and 20 TD’s in 2004...36-10 as a starter...won a regional championship and was a state runner-up.
