THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - Has developed into a dependable and consistent performer on the defensive line…returns with two-plus years of starting experience…will anchor the right end of the defensive line…a big play capable competitor…won the “Super Iron Keydet” conditioning award given to the one player who tested highest in 2014 spring strength and conditioning drills…made three solo tackles in the first spring scrimmage.
2013 – Saw the second most plays on the team (behind only fellow lineman Justin Smith) with 830 snaps…had 44 total tackles and tied for team lead in tackles for loss with 6.5 for 30 yards…started the season with a year-high eight tackles against Richmond…was a key factor in the strong defensive game at Liberty with three solos, three assists, and 2.5 tackles for loss and also intercepted a pass and returned it four yards…cited by the coaching staff post-game awards for a strong game against Gardner-Webb with a forced fumble that led to an early score.
2012 – Played in all 11 games with one start in the season’s final game against Liberty…had 26 tackles which included 4.5 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks for 14 yards…highlight of the year was a fumble return for 70 yards and a touchdown against Charleston Southern which was VMI’s third-longest play of the year and second longest scoring play of the season…finished the season with 12 tackles over his last two games with five tackles and a sack (-8 yards) against The Citadel and seven tackles with a sack (-1 yard) against Liberty…lettered for the second time.
2011 – Played in 10 games and lettered for the first time…missed the opener against Delaware State but gradually saw playing time increase culminating with a season-high 41 snaps against Gardner-Webb…had four tackles each in his first two games of the season against William & Mary and Richmond…had a sack for -8 yards against Richmond…posted three tackles against Coastal Carolina and a tackle-for-loss for one yard…on the field for 233 plays on the season.
2010 - Did not see game action.
HIGH SCHOOL - As a senior - 58 tackles - three TFL - 10 sacks - one forced fumble - five passes defended...three-year starter...team captain...First Team All-Evergreen District...All-Evergreen District Defensive Player of the Year...First Team All-Region...First Team All-State (AP, VAPREPS and VHSCA).
