Biography

THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - Another experienced member of the offensive line who give the unit a veteran presence…has had to contend with injury throughout his career but has been effective when healthy…could be a starter again if he can get back after missing part of spring drills rehabbing…has played a number of positions on the offensive line…has 27 career starts.

2010 - Started the season as a reserve and saw action on 117 snaps over the first five games but then moved into the starting lineup at right guard in week six and made six starts on the season…played on 547 snaps total during the year and lettered for the third time. 

2009 - Appeared in just two games on the year seeing action in the James Madison and Richmond games…limited to just 94 plays on the season…had eight knockdowns against Richmond.

2008 - Helped VMI to its third-consecutive Big South Conference rushing crown, as well as a school- and Big South-record 3,932 yards and 357.5 yards per game, which topped the FCS charts...helped VMI pile up 300-plus yards rushing in eight games in 2008...also helped Keydets convert 26-of-32 (81.2%) red-zone scoring opportunities...started all 11 games at center and lettered for the second time...led the O-Line in knockdowns with 75, including 12 in a two-week stretch against Coastal Carolina and Gardner-Webb.

2007 - Started the season in the two-deep picture and moved into the starting line-up in week three when he made his first start at center against James Madison...remained in the starting line-up for the rest of the season, making nine starts...logged double-digit knockdowns over five consecutive games including a season-high 18 against Gardner-Webb...earned his first varsity letter.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Grayson High School in Grayson, Ga... three-year varsity letterwinner...captain of the football team...received 2005 Ironman Spring Practice Award for Toughness & Durability...named to 2006 Pre-Season and Post-Season All-Gwinnett County Team...awarded 2006 Ram Motivator Spring Practice Award...inaugural recipient of the Rocky Award, given for toughness and determination...named Offensive Lineman of the Year for Gwinnett County as a senior.
