Andrew Westhouse joined the VMI athletic staff in June of 2003 as Ticket Manager, and has risen to the title of Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Operations.
Among his numerous duties, Westhouse is in charge of generating revenue for the Athletic Department through the attainment and execution of corporate partnerships as well as through the oversight of the Institute's Trademark Licensing program. Additionally, he is responsible for providing in-game promotions and coordinating efforts in managing and executing Big South Conference Marketing Group contracts.
During the past three years, the Athletic Marketing Department has seen revenue increases each fiscal year and has also increased community outreach, promotional activities, and Licensing revenue. Westhouse has helped plan and oversee two major conference championships on Post and played a key role in the 2006 implementation of the XOS online ticketing platform, which provides VMI fans the access to purchase tickets to VMI athletic competitions online.
Westhouse came to Lexington from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he served as an assistant football coach during the 2002 season. He played for the Big Red throughout the 1998-2001 seasons, captaining the team during the 2001 season, and being named Defensive MVP and Outstanding Linebacker during that same year.
A native of Evanston, Ill., Westhouse, 29, graduated from James Madison University in the spring of 2007 with a Master of Science Degree in Athletic Administration.
