TWO-YEAR LETTERMAN - Has developed into a dependable contributor in the kicking game…projected as the punter for this fall after handling kickoffs the last two years…had worked hard on consistency…can also placekick…averaged a scrimmage-high 39.8 yards in final spring outing and booted a 46-yarder.

2010 - Handled the team kickoff duties and lettered for the second time…also was the placeholder for field goals and extra points...appeared in all 11 games.

2008 - Started the fall on the VMI soccer team but joined the football program three weeks into the season in late September...punted in three games-Richmond, Liberty, and Presbyterian...punted four times for a 33.0 average with a long of 39 yards against Liberty.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Deep Run High School in Glen Allen, Va...three-year letterwinner as a punter and kicker at Deep Run...earned All-District honors...led Deep Run to two straight Colonial District titles and two Central Region semifinal appearances on the soccer field...named Second Team All-District as a goalkeeper...was a member of the Richmond Strikers Academy team in ‘07-08 and competed at Disney 2006 US Club Soccer Championships... received prestigious West Point Society of Richmond’s Award for Leadership in 2007.
    PERSONAL - Full name is Cameron Richard Murray...son of former VMI punter Cal Murray '83, who serves as color commentator on the VMI Football Radio Network....Biology major.
