- Spending time at the tackle and guard position, Cannon should provide versatility and depth to the VMI offensive front
- An All-Region 8 AAA Selection this past season, Cannon helped Hebron Christian to a 10-2 record in his final season, as the Lions are slated to compete in the Final Four of the Georgia High School Athletics Private State Championship for the first time in program history on December 6.
- A Georgia Elite (20-22) selection, Cannon was also a member of the 2021 varsity golf team
