Biography

THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - Recovered from injury that had limited his playing time last year and in in previous seasons and finished the year with a prolific pace of receptions including several long gainers…has big play ability as he demonstrated last year…will have the chance to step up with the graduation of leading receiver Tracy Hairston…expected to start at one wide receiver position.

2011 – Had a breakout year with most of his production coming at the end of the season after missing the first five games because of injury…finished third on the team in receptions (19) and second in receiving yardage (314) despite playing just six games…his 16.5 yards per catch was second only to tight end Mario Thompson who had a 20.2 mark…both his touchdown catch and runs went for over 80 yards – an 81-yard TD from Adam Morgan against Stony Brook in week 7 and an 83-yarder from Eric Kordenbrock in the season finale against Gardner-Webb – the seventh longest pass play in VMI history… finished the season with eight catches for 138 yards against Gardner-Webb, the most by a VMI receiver since Tim Maypray’s 209 yards against Charleston Southern in 2007…also had four catches for 40 yards against Liberty.

2010 - Played in all 11 games and lettered for the second time…caught five passes for 49 yards…had three of his catches in the season opener against Lock Haven when he also snagged a 20-yarder for his longest catch of the year…made a 10-yard reception at Stony Brook...member of Big South Presidential Honor Roll.

2009 - Played in eight of 11 games and lettered for the first time…saw action in 55 plays…made his season debut against Richmond and appeared in seven straight games.

2008 - Played in three games (Chowan, Ohio, and Richmond) before sustaining a knee injury that ended his season...underwent surgery...caught a 24-yard touchdown pass against Chowan for his first and lone pass reception.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Meadowbrook High School in Richmond, Va...captain of football team as a senior...three-year letterman...Second-Team All-Central District as a wide receiver in 2007...helped lead team to 9-3 Record and a Central District Championship in his senior season.
