Biography

2019 – Named to the first team All-SoCon defense by both coaches and media teams…Started 11 of 12 games at safety…did not play in season finale against Chattanooga…placed four on the team defensive charts with 67 tackles…led the team ranked second in the SoCon in interceptions with three…had double-digit tackle games against Mercer with 11 stops including three sacks and also posted 10 tackles against Wofford…intercepted two passes and returned them for a combined 39 yards against Mars Hill…named COSIDA Academic All-District 3.
 
2018 – Started all 11 games at safety extending his consecutive start streak to 18…co-led the team in tackles with 90 which tied with teammate Elliott Brewster for sixth in the SoCon (8.2) per game…led the VMI defense with 55 solo stops…broke up three passes…logged a season-high 11 tackles vs. ETSU and broke up passes Sept.14…also produced 10 tackle games against Western Carolina and The Citadel…had a sack for nine yards against Tusculum Nov. 3…credited with nine tackles each outing vs. Samford, Chattanooga, Furman and Old Dominion…forced a fumble against The Citadel Oct. 20…on the field for 88 snaps at Western Carolina Sept. 22…named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America second team…2018-19 SoCon Academic Honor Roll recipient…lettered for the second time.

2017 – Played in all 11 games and was a starter at safety by mid-season...ranked sixth on the team in tackles with 48 stops with two pass break ups and a quarterback hurry...had six games with five or more tackles...top tackle games included The Citadel (9), Wofford (7) and Air Force (6) in his college debut...credited with pass break ups against Western Carolina and Wofford...named to SoCon All-Freshman Team.

High School – Prepped at Cox HS in Virginia Beach, Va....named a Top 50 Recruit by The Virginian-Pilot for 2017 in South Hampton Roads...named defense impact player of the year...had highest playoff passing percentage mark at Cox...first team all-conference and second team all-region...also lettered three years in basketball and was team MVP and second team all-conference.
