Men’s Soccer Falls to Howard in Non-Conference Action

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The VMI men's soccer team fell to Howard, 2-1, Saturday afternoon at Greene Stadium in non-conference action.
 
The Keydets struck first in the sixth minute, as Jordan Savage found the back of the net to give VMI an early 1-0 advantage. Howard answered in the 30th minute to level the contest heading into halftime.
 
The Bison took the lead in the 54th minute when Daniil Kaban converted a penalty kick. VMI continued to battle throughout the second half, but Howard held on for the victory.
 
VMI finished with 18 shots and 13 corner kicks, while goalkeeper Santiago Rocha recorded four saves. The goal is the second of the year for Savage.
