Keydets fall to Peacocks 2-1

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – VMI was defeated by Saint Peter's by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
 
After a 0-0 stalemate in the first period, Saint Peter's kicked off the scoring with a penalty kick in the 59th minute to go up 1-0. Senior Yeirin Mejia tallied his fourth goal of the season in the 68th minute with an assist by Jesse Lee, his first of the 2026 campaign.
 
Saint Peter's would score the go-ahead goal with only three minutes left in the game in the 87th minute, and they would hang on for the victory. VMI tallied seven shots on goal, with four on target, but only Mejia's score connected.
 
The Keydets will take on the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils in New Britain, Connecticut on Monday at 2 p.m.
