MACON, Ga. – VMI Baseball found success in a few spots of the lineup despite Saturday's game two loss to Mercer at OrthoGeorgia Park.
The Keydets' (27-22, 3-14 SoCon) offense picked up the pace late and produced more hits in the end, but it was to no avail as the Bears (38-13, 11-6 SoCon) captured the series with a 5-2 final.

Fourth Inning: A fielder's choice plated one more for the Bears.
Fifth Inning: The fifth and final run for Mercer came off a solo home run.
Sixth Inning: The Keydets got one back off a rocket over the left field wall by Buchanan.
Ninth Inning: After Garner's leadoff double, VMI waved him home on a double-play ball to make it 5-2.
