MACON, Ga. – VMI Baseball struck first but could not continue the momentum as Mercer claimed the series sweep on Sunday at OrthoGeorgia Park.
The Keydets (27-23, 3-15 SoCon) suffered an 11-1 run-rule defeat at the hands of the red-hot Bears (39-13, 12-6 SoCon). With the loss, VMI has been locked in as the eighth seed in the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament.
