BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The VMI trio of Alex Seaton, Ethan Ostrowski and Jack Duncan-Bloom were recognized by the Northeast Conference for their efforts in leading the Keydets to a thrilling 9-8 come-from-behind win over Monmouth this past Saturday at Drill Field 2.
 
VMI freshman defenseman Alex Seaton was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week, fellow freshman Ethan Ostrowski was given Rookie of the Week honors and junior attackman Jack Duncan-Bloom was named a Prime Performer, the league announced Monday.
 
Seaton caused five turnovers on the defensive end to create havoc and missed scoring opportunities for the Hawks. He also picked up six groundballs during the day to help VMI to the big non-conference win heading into NEC play next week.
 
Ostrowski was named the Rookie of the Week after scoring four goals to account for nearly half of VMI's goals in the win. The Annapolis, Maryland, native logged four points in the win and totaled 10 shot attempts, including four goals and one shot requiring a save. He also picked up one groundball and caused one turnover.
 
Jack Duncan-Bloom earned Prime Performer recognition after registering a hat trick – his first of the season and third of his VMI career – including the game-winning goal to lift VMI to its third consecutive come-from-behind victory. The Portland, Oregon, native also tacked on one assist for four points on the day. With the game tied at 8-8 with only a few minutes remaining in the game, he scored the game-winning goal with only 1:25 on the clock. He totaled seven shot attempts during the win.
 
The Keydets begin Northeast Conference action this weekend when they head up to Syracuse, New York, to face Le Moyne College Saturday at 2 p.m.
