LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Women's Water Polo Program turns the page to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play this weekend, starting with a game at Mount St. Mary's on Friday evening before heading to Philadelphia for games against La Salle and Marist.

Last Time Out
VMI was in action last weekend, taking on a pair of top 20 teams. The Keydets fell at No. 20 Brown and at No. 13 Harvard. VMI did muster some good offense against the Ivy opponents, scoring 15 goals in the two games.
Scouting Mount St. Mary's
Mount St. Mary's is 5-9 thus far on the season, but has faced some stiff competition including Indiana (twice), Michigan and a pair of Ivy League schools. The Mount enters the weekend after wins over Whittier and Chapman. All-time, VMI is 2-4, with its last two wins in the series taking place at Villanova (2021).
Scouting La Salle
The Explorers sport a record of 9-4 on the season, having played one MAAC contest (l, 13-14 vs. Villanova). La Salle is just 2-3 in its last five matches, but holds the overall edge in the series (9-7), having won the last nine.
Scouting Marist
The Red Foxes continue their string of dominance, as they are currently 17
th in the country with an overall record of 17-4. Marist is an early 3-0 in conference play, has defeated five nationally-ranked teams, with all four losses coming against opponents ranked in the top 20. VMI's last win in the series came in 2017.
