LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Women's Water Polo Team will host the entire Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference this weekend at the VMI Aquatic Center in Lexington, as they will play three games to wrap up the 2026 regular season.

The Season So Far
VMI is 6-12 overall on the year, registering the second-most wins in Coach Montenegro's tenure. The Keydets most recently traveled to Poughkeepsie and fell to Iona and No. 24 Villanova.
Sydney Smith has paced VMI with 50 goals this season, with
Sadie Smith totaling 42 and
Makynna Smith 40.
Ysabel Casillas has seen a lot of action, totaling a team-best 80 blocks on the year.
Scouting Wagner
Despite being 10-11 overall, Wagner is tied for 21
st in this week's national poll. Of the 11 losses, 10 have come against top 25 foes. The Seahawks split action last weekend, defeating Siena before falling to Marist.
Scouting Siena
The Saints are 6-9 on the year and have only lost to nationally ranked opponents. Siena is 3-3 in its last six, most recently falling 20-9 to No. 18 Marist. VMI last defeated Siena in 2022 in Lexington.
Scouting LIU
The Sharks are 7-17 overall, with a 1-4 record in MAAC play. LIU has dropped four of its last five entering the weekend, but are 9-0 all time against VMI.
