LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Baseball was handed its first loss of 2026 after a tight battle against Virginia on Tuesday afternoon at Disharoon Park.
The Keydets (4-1) were neck-and-neck with the Cavaliers, but it was a big first inning that kept the Hoos in front, 5-2. The VMI bullpen proved itself against the nation's highest-scoring offense, allowing just one earned run in seven innings of work.
