About the Spartans (10-15, 6-6)
UNCG is coming off two straight conference wins after coming out victorious last week against Western Carolina and a 67-64 thriller at Furman.  The streak comes after three consecutive losses at the hands of Furman, Mercer and The Citadel as the Spartans hold an even 6-6 record in conference play.

Star player Justin Neely was named last week's SoCon Player of the Week as well as a CollegeInsider.com Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week after averaging a double-double with 24.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. He recorded his 15th and 16th double-doubles of the season. On the year, he is averaging 17.5 points per game.

KJ Younger (14.0) and Donald Whitehead, Jr. (11.3) are also averaging double figures. Neely also leads the team with 67 assists for the year.

All-Time Series (11-28)
VMI will look for its 12th all-time victory against the Spartans and its second victory in the last three meetings as the Keydets took down the No. 2 seed Spartans in the quarterfinals round of last year's SoCon Tournament. The win snapped a six-game losing streak to the Spartans.

The Keydets last defeated UNCG in Greensboro on February 2, 2022, a 76-65 win at the Greensboro Coliseum.
