VMI (0-7, 0-3) looks to pick up its first win of the season after falling to Wofford College last weekend in Spartanburg. The Keydets jumped to a 14-3 lead after the opening quarter but could not sustain the momentum as the Terriers rallied for a 41-14 win on their home field.

About the Bucs (5-2, 3-0)
Coming off a bye week, ETSU has won four consecutive games including a 34-16 win over The Citadel on the road two weeks ago in Charleston. In the three prior weeks, the Bucs defeated a solid West Georgia team before taking down Western Carolina and rival Chattanooga in consecutive weeks. After a surprising loss to Campbell to open the season, the Bucs took down Tusculum before falling to ACC power North Carolina by a 35-3 count back on September 12.

All-Time Series (11-20)
Although the Bucs have won the last two seasons, the Keydets have historically found success against ETSU with 11 all-time wins to the Bucs' 20. VMI last defeated ETSU during the 2023 season as the Keydets rallied for a 31-24 win on the road. ETSU did not have a football program from 2003-2015 before reinstating it ahead of the 2016 campaign.
