LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Baseball was downed by East Tennessee State on Friday night at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium.
The Keydets (26-21, 5-11 SoCon) fell to the Buccaneers, 9-2, to begin the final home series. VMI has dropped its last six Southern Conference games.

- The Keydets were able to keep it a one-run game until late in the game when the Bucs plated two in the sixth, three in the seventh, and three more in the ninth to make it 9-0.
- However, VMI was able to make a push in the final inning after Peterson doubled in one run and Schnarrs drove in another on a sacrifice fly.
