NEC Tournament Implications
A VMI win Saturday coupled with a Detroit Mercy loss at Cleveland State will give VMI the No. 3 seed at next week's NEC Tournament, which will be played hosted by either Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh or at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.

A VMI loss coupled with a Detroit Mercy win will secure the final No. 3 and 4 spots, respectively, for LIU and Detroit at the tournament.

Should both VMI and Detroit lose, both will end up with a 3-4 league record and create a hairy tiebreaker scenario based on point totals in head-to-head matchups with each other and versus Cleveland State.

The full tiebreaker breakdown can be viewed at this NEC Men's Lacrosse page.

About the Sharks (9-3, 4-2)
LIU enters Saturday's contest with confidence after earning dominant wins over NEC foes Cleveland State and Le Moyne the past two weeks. The victories came in the wake of a close 13-9 loss to league leader Robert Morris and a surprising 12-11 overtime loss to Wagner College on March 28.  The Sharks opened NEC play with wins over Mercyhurst and Detroit Mercy in consecutive weekends.

After opening the season with a loss at Rutgers, LIU rung off seven straight wins over the likes of Mount St. Mary's, Iona, Siena, Bellarmine and Queens.

Mark Regan is the team's points leader with 41 on the year given his 23 goals and 18 assists on the season. Ben McIsaac leads the squad in goals with 26 to go with seven helpers while Cameron Connolly is in the mix among the top offensive threats with 20 goals and 11 assists for 31 combined points.

Defender Tyler Davide leads the team with 20 caused turnovers, and goalie Brayden Wilcken has seen the most time in the cage (464 minutes). He has allowed 80 goals for the year for a 10.33 goals-against average to go with 92 saves. Tyler Gresh has seen significant time (244 minutes), allowing 47 goals for a 11.54 GAA to go with 44 saves.

Tailgating Information
There are two parking lots between the baseball stadium and the lacrosse field on North Post. The one on the left nearest the Paulette Hall locker rooms is designated as the VMI tailgating area after the game. The lot on the right nearest the large retaining wall is the designated tailgating area for the visiting team. Cars must be parked in designated parking stalls – ticketing will be enforced by VMI Police. Another option is to use the pavilion at nearby Jordan's Point Park which can be reserved through the City of Lexington.
