ATHENS, Ohio – VMI Baseball rebounded with a massive victory on Saturday at Bob Wren Stadium to even the series.
The Keydets (22-14, 4-5 SoCon) plated 11 runs in the final four innings to roll past the Bobcats, 13-6. Four Keydets had a multi-hit outing, with three also having multiple RBIs, to lift VMI to its 20th double-digit run game.

Scoring Summary
- Ohio got on the scoreboard first in the opening frame, earning an early 1-0 advantage.
- VMI was able to bounce back in the second after Jordan singled in two runs to make it 2-1.
- However, Ohio put up two runs in the bottom half and another in the fifth inning to go up 4-2.
- The Keydets' offense surged late in the game, starting in the sixth off a Fitzwater solo shot.
- Schnarrs followed suit in the seventh with a solo blast of his own, tying the game at four.
- Later in the inning, Garner stepped up and delivered a two-RBI single to retake the lead, 6-4.
- VMI continued the rally with six runs in the eighth inning. Schnarrs started the spurt with a bases-loaded hit by pitch, followed by three-straight singles by Jordan, Prince, and Garner to keep the bases flowing. Fitzwater picked up an RBI off a sacrifice fly right before Prince was able to score on a passed ball, making it 12-4.
