NEW HAVEN, Conn. – VMI Baseball went toe-to-toe with Yale on Sunday, but ended the day with a challenging loss at George H.W. Bush Field.
The Keydets (13-7) were swept by the Bulldogs after suffering a 6-5 walk-off defeat in the series finale. This is the first series loss of the season for VMI.

Scoring Summary
- Yale had two successful sacrifice bunts, one in the second and the other in the sixth, to take a 2-0 lead.
- VMI cut the deficit in half in the seventh inning after Jordan's RBI single scored
Ayden Schnarrs.
- With Torres and Garner getting on base, Fitzwater was able to drive both of them in on a double to right field to take a 3-2 advantage.
- The Bulldogs regained the lead in the same inning, 4-3.
- The Keydets were able to score two in the ninth after a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by
Cole Raile.
- However, Yale had three hits in the bottom half including a walk-off double to win the game.
