LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Wrestling fell to The Citadel Sunday afternoon at Cormack Hall to begin its final homestand.
The Keydets (5-11, 1-6 SoCon) had a tough encounter with the Bulldogs at home, 33-6. VMI finishes the league schedule on Thursday.
Braxton Lewis and
Josh Evans picked up wins at 184 pounds and heavyweight, respectively. Lewis, who has won three straight SoCon duals and four total, earned a 9-3 decision while Evans, who tallies his fourth league win and third straight, recorded a 4-2 decision.

Next Up for the Keydets
The Keydets close out the home slate on Thursday against Presbyterian. VMI will honor its four seniors who will be competing at Cormack Hall for the final time. The first bout will begin at 7 p.m. with Senior Night festivities beginning beforehand. The match will also be broadcast live on ESPN+.
