The Hatters are the second installment of the SoCon-ASUN scheduling alliance the Keydets will face this season. Stetson is coming off a close 64-60 win at home against Howard Wednesday night a few days after falling 65-76 on the road at SoCon foe Western Carolina. All-Time Series (2-0)
VMI will look to remain undefeated against the Hatters in the all-time series with a third straight win. The Keydets won the first contest on November 23, 2018, by an 87-79 count in overtime in DeLand before taking down Stetson again the following year (Dec. 7, 2019) by an 88-61 score at Cameron Hall.

Last Time Out: VMI 54, Richmond 87 – Wednesday, Nov. 19 – Richmond, Va.
Down 10-8 at the 14:47 mark of the first half, the VMI basketball team fell victim to an 11-1 run by host Richmond over the next five minutes as the Spiders gradually pulled away en route to an 87-54 victory Wednesday night at the Robins Center.

Playing without senior Rickey Bradley, Jr., the Keydets struggled from the field early on and could not recover as Richmond built a 23-point lead late in the opening half to go into the break with a 49-26 advantage.

The Spiders were effective in limiting VMI's scoring opportunities in the second half and continued to pour it on offensively to gradually build a 38-point advantage with six minutes left to play.

Sophomore Jaylen Pazon led the Keydets with a game-high 14 points in the loss.
