Keydets swat away Wasps, win third straight

LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Women's Soccer extended its winning streak to three games after shutting out Emory & Henry Saturday afternoon at Patchin Field.
 
With the 2-0 victory over the Wasps, the Keydets move to 3-0 and are having their best start to a season since 2018. VMI will kick off a three-game road swing starting at USC Upstate on Friday next week.

"Been a really fun start," says Haught-Thompson. " So proud of the fact that we are on three clean sheets to start the year. That's a testament to our mentality this year. We handled the game today very professionally and now look forward to traveling this weekend for the first time."
