LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Men's Soccer put up a solid 4-2 outing against Emory & Henry to secure the win in front of the VMI Corps at Patchin Field Thursday afternoon.
The Keydets earned their first season-opening victory since 2005. VMI will continue the homestand on Monday against Warren Wilson starting at 2 p.m.

- Mooney got the scoring started after squeezing in a goal just after the 18-minute mark
- With nine minutes left in the first half, Oh headed in VMI's second goal off a corner kick
- Wasps earned back-to-back goals in the middle of the second half, tying it at two apiece
- Huang came in clutch with a late game-winning goal to put the Keydets back up, 3-2
- Less than one minute later, Martin sealed E&H's fate with a ricochet goal inside the goalie box
