GREENSBORO, N.C. – VMI Baseball (24-21, 6-7 SoCon) started the game with a 2-0 lead but saw a tough UNC Greensboro (24-16, 8-5 SoCon) squad go on a big run to take the opening game of the series at UNCG Baseball Stadium Friday evening.
The Keydets' winning streak ends at three games after suffering a 7-2 loss to the Spartans. VMI will have a chance to rebound and knot up the series tomorrow afternoon. Something to note is that the Keydets have won four straight Saturday matchups.
