GREENSBORO, N.C. – VMI Baseball (24-22, 6-8 SoCon) produced some clutch at-bats in the ninth inning but it was UNC Greensboro (25-16, 9-5 SoCon) that came up victorious in game two Saturday afternoon at UNCG Baseball Stadium.
The Keydets had a pair cross the plate in the final frame but were one run shy of completing the comeback, falling to the Spartans, 8-7. Despite losing the series, VMI looks to end the weekend on a high note in a rematch against UNCG tomorrow.
