LEXINGTON, Va. – With two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning, VMI Baseball (23-20, 6-6 SoCon) prevailed with a walk-off RBI single to defeat The Citadel (17-21, 1-11 SoCon) at Gray-Minor Stadium Sunday afternoon.
The Keydets won its third-straight home series over the Bulldogs and have been victorious in five of their last six games. With the 6-5 extra-inning victory, VMI moves up to a tie for fourth in the Southern Conference standings after winning three straight league series.
