LEXINGTON, Va. – After a strong opening weekend, the VMI Water Polo Team remains in Lexington, hosting Salem on Saturday.

The game, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, will begin at 10 a.m. in the VMI Aquatic Center.

Starting the Season
The Keydets got to kick off their 2024 campaign at home last weekend, scoring two down-the-wire wins to go an even 2-2 on the weekend. After falling to Gannon in a close one, VMI trailed Mercyhurst with 2:27 remaining, getting goals from Sadie and Sydney Smith to secure a win. The Keydets would close out the weekend with another comeback victory, forcing overtime before prevailing 10-9 over McKendree.

Scouting Salem

Salem holds a 2-10 record, with their victories coming against California Lutheran and Austin College. The Tigers are riding a four-game win streak in the series, but overall the teams are even at 4-4 all-time.
