LEXINGTON, Va. – After downing Georgetown 12-1 in Friday's home opener, the VMI Baseball team fell in game two to the Hoyas by a score of 8-1.

How it Happened
- Georgetown would open the game with a solo shot from Hyde to put Georgetown up 1-0
- In the second, Grayson Fitzwater walked and would eventually get to third but the Hoyas got a strikeout to get out of the jam
- Georgetown would add three in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead
- The Keydets would get on the board in the 5th as a Justin Starke sacrifice fly made it 4-1, but VMI would get caught stealing to end the inning
- A two-run shot in the 7th extended Georgetown's advantage (6-1), tacking on two more in the 8th to even the series at one win apiece
