LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Baseball has officially announced its non-league opponents for the 2025 campaign.
The Keydets are slated to host seven different programs and travel to nine different schools along with a neutral-site contest at War Memorial Stadium.
VMI will open 2025 with a four-game series against Maryland Eastern Shore (February 14-16) at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium. This will be the first time the Keydets play the season opener at home since 2010.
The remaining home schedule will include three-game sets against Norfolk State (February 28-March 2) and Holy Cross (March 7-9) along with a double dip against Stonehill (March 11-12). After a long road swing, VMI returns to the friendly confines for duals against George Washington (March 26), Longwood (April 1), and Radford (April 9) to close out the home slate.
VMI's first road trip will be in-state with a short drive to Richmond (February 18) before heading to Baltimore, Maryland for a three-game bout against Coppin State (February 21-23). A key matchup in this year's road schedule will take place in Charlottesville, Virginia when the Keydets take on the reigning super regional champions, Virginia (February 25).
The next road swing will be a two-day, three-game series against Ivy League Yale (March 15-16) followed by a trip to Longwood (March 18) and Norfolk State (April 2). The Keydets will also face Ohio (April 11-13) and round out the non-league road matchups with George Washington (April 15) and Radford (April 23). VMI is set to face William & Mary on April 30 in Hampton, Virginia at War Memorial Stadium.
Southern Conference home and away dates will be released at a later time.
