ARLINGTON, Va. – VMI Wrestling went 2-0 on the day after defeating Marymount and Morgan State at the Marymount Quad at the Converse Fieldhouse Sunday afternoon.
The Keydets (3-1) put on a dominant display on the mat, outscoring the Saints, 46-6, before taming the Bears, 32-9. VMI had 16 individual victories and seven weight classes went undefeated.
Against Marymount, VMI tallied seven pins in the first outing of the day.
Dyson Dunham secured a fall (1:30) at 133 pounds for his first dual win of the year.
Eric Doran followed up with a big 4:04 fall to claim his first victory this season at 157 pounds. Bumping up to 174 pounds was
Logan Chambers who secured a pin in 3:38.
The Keydets continued their success against the Bears for their third-straight dual victory. Dunham earned his second-straight dual win at 133 pounds with a 4-0 decision followed by
Patrick Jordon who tallied his second pin of the day at 149 pounds. Reigning Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week
Braxton Lewis secured a 9-3 decision at 184 pounds.
