LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Men's Soccer made history after defeating Regent, 2-0, Friday afternoon at Patchin Field.
With the shutout win over the Royals (4-5-1), the Keydets (4-4-2) are now 4-0 at home. This is the first time since 1994 that VMI has had a four-game home win streak and the first time the Keydets have ever started a season 4-0 at home. VMI has also recorded a result in four straight matches for the first time since 2007.

- Gysel opened the scoring 35 minutes into the opening frame with a goal inside the box thanks to a brilliant assist from Petrusevski.
- With less than two minutes remaining in the match, Savage rebounded a good ball from Martin, sending into the back of the net with the left foot.
