LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Men's Soccer Team will play its first home game of the 2023 season on Saturday, hosting Presbyterian College on Drill Field #2 at 1 p.m. The contest is the program's Alumni Reunion, and returning alumni will be recognized on the field prior to kickoff with a penalty kick shootout highlighting the halftime intermission.
More than 30 former players and family members are already registered to attend, including VMI Hall of Fame inductees Gary Morgan '81, Alex Alston '92, Matt Ott '92 and Richard Daughtridge '98.

VMI started the year with four-straight road contests and earned its first win of the season Saturday against Maritime College 2-0. Freshman

About Presbyterian:
The Blue Hose are 1-2 to start off the season, defeating Southern Wesleyan 8-1 before falling to Davidson 2-0 and Clemson 6-0. Victor Faaborg Christensen had a hat trick against Southern Wesleyan. Presbyterian finished the 2022 season 10-5-2 with wins over SoCon schools ETSU, Wofford and Furman.
History:
VMI fell just 1-0 on Sept. 3 last year at Presbyterian despite outshooting the Blue Hose 10-8.
