ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men's soccer team defeated VMI 3-0 Monday evening in non-conference action at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. The Midshipmen are the defending Patriot League Champions.
How it happened:
*VMI fired eight shots, three each by
Jesse Lee and
Timofey Dovgalyuk, and two from
Cole Mooney
*The Keydets earned six corner kicks, five in the first half
*Navy's Connor Walcott scored three minutes before intermission to break a scoreless tie and David Jackson converted on two second half penalty kicks
*
Zack Murphy made one stop in net, and allowed only one non-penalty kick goal

The Keydets will face Maritime College Saturday at 7 p.m. at Randall's Island, N.Y.
