MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The VMI men's soccer team hung tough for over a half of play Thursday, but Robert Morris University finished strong to post a 5-0 win in the 2023 season opener for both teams at the North Athletic Complex.
How it happened:
*Despite two solid scoring opportunities in the game's first 45 minutes, the Keydets trailed 1-0 at intermission. Freshman
Jesse Lee had a great chance to tie the score late in the first half but the RMU keeper got a hand on the shot and it bounced over the cage
*Robert Morris scored midway through the first half and tacked on three goals in the first 23 minutes of the second half

Zack Murphy made two saves

Yeirin Mejia and
Adhbuth Sista also had shots for the Keydets and VMI earned two corner kicks
