Women's Cross Country

Women’s Cross Country welcomes four freshmen

LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Zack Scott introduced on Friday four incoming freshmen set to join the women's cross country team this fall.
 

"We have a good group of four women joining our team/family for our 2023 cross country season," Scott said. "They will help improve our team ranking in the Southern Conference and, more importantly, help rebuild a winning culture."

Evelyn Anderson - Eastern View High School - Culpeper, Va.

  • Goals as a Division 1 Cadet-Athlete: I aspire to become the best version of myself both athletically and academically
  • Who had the greatest impact in your life: My mother was the one who originally got me to run track. She helped me find my love for it and has always been there to support me. 
  • Why VMI: VMI will give me all the materials I need to enter the workforce. It will also instill a sense of discipline that will benefit me for the rest of my life.
