LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI baseball team's Southern Conference game Friday against UNC Greensboro (UNCG) has been moved up from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather. The contest opens the three-game set in Gray-Minor Stadium, the Keydets' first home conference games of the season.

Last Time:
The Keydets rallied all the way back from 5-0 and 6-1 deficits Tuesday night to tie the game, but Virginia Tech used a three-run ninth inning to win 9-7.
Cole Jenkins rapped an RBI double in the eighth to tie the game, but the
Hokies hit three-straight home runs in the top of the ninth to take a 9-6 advantage. The
Keydets scored one in the bottom of the ninth and had the tying run at the plate but VT closed out the contest. Junior Ty
Swaim went 3-5 with two runs scored and Jenkins,
Trey Morgan and
Brett Cook each doubled and walked.

About UNCG:
The Spartans won two of three games last weekend against Western Carolina to improve to 13-12 overall. UNCG won five-straight games in the conference tournament last May to capture the SoCon title.
Kennedy Jones is hitting .350 this season with 23 runs, 20 RBI, four doubles and four homers. Zack Budzik has a .345 batting average, 23 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. The Spartans ran third in the conference in team ERA (5.84).
