LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI baseball team will host Virginia Tech Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Gray-Minor Stadium in a non-conference game.

It is the second meeting between the two teams in the last week, as VMI met the Hokies in Blacksburg on March 22.

Last Time:
VMI took the first contest of a three-game series at pre-season Southern Conference favorite Wofford College Friday 9-6, but the Terriers rallied to win the next two.

Record Setters:
The Keydets now have 100 stolen bases on the season through just 25 games, snapping the old mark of 99 set in 2015 in 51 games. Junior Brett Cook took third base in the top of the sixth inning Sunday at Wofford to set the new record. VMI holds the NCAA record for stolen bases in an inning (9), set a week ago against Norfolk State University.

About the Hokies:
Virginia Tech dropped two of three in an ACC series at Pittsburgh this weekend, winning the middle game 20-12, but dropping the first and third games 5-4. The Hokies led the Panthers 4-0 in the fifth inning and 4-3 in the eighth Sunday but couldn't hang on. Christian Martin led the way offensively for VT, going 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Eddie Eisert doubled and had two walks and Jack Hurley had a hit and two walks.
