PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The VMI Water Polo closed out the second of two matches in Philadelphia on Sunday, falling to Villanova 20-7.
Courtney Novotny and
Sydney Shettleroe would each net two goals in the loss, with
Caragh Osborne,
Gia Donatelli and
Sadie Smith rounding out the scoring.
The Keydets got a welcome sight in net as
Katie Lloyd returned and picked up eight saves against the strong Wildcats program.
What's Next
VMI returns home for a busy weekend, hosting the inaugural VMI Water Polo Showcase at the VMI Aquatic Center on April 1-2. The Keydets open up with Marist on Saturday and face St. Francis Brooklyn and Mount St. Mary's on Sunday.
