LEXINGTON, Va. – The threat of inclement weather has led to changes in the upcoming VMI baseball series against visiting Coppin State University from Gray-Minor Stadium.
The series was originally scheduled for single games Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but will now consist of a doubleheader Saturday starting at 2 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for seven innings in game one and nine for game two with roughly a half hour between games.

The Keydets (6-4) defeated visiting Richmond 10-2 from Gray-Minor Stadium Wednesday night. Cole Jenkins and Justin Starke each homered and Ty Swaim lashed three base hits with a triple and two stolen bases. JT Inskeep worked four innings for the win and Nathan Light tossed two innings of scoreless relief, striking out four. Will Riley fanned eight Spiders in his three innings of one-hit ball for his second save of the year.

Coppin State started the year with a three-game sweep of St. Peter's but have dropped five straight games, including three at #19 Oregon State. Jordan Hamberg has a 1.320 OPS with nine runs, 13 RBI, two doubles, two triples and three home runs with eight walks.
