LEXINGTON, Va. – Red-shirt junior
Justin Starke had three hits and four RBI Friday afternoon to power the VMI baseball team to a 14-4 win over visiting Norfolk State University in seven innings Friday in Gray-Minor Stadium.
VMI is now 11-8 overall and 10-2 at home.
How it happened:
Starke, the starting third baseman, drilled a two-run home run to center field to start the scoring in the first, followed with a run-scoring double in the fourth, and singled in another run in the seventh. With VMI leading 12-4 with one out in the seventh, red-shirt junior
Trey Morgan lofted a two-run double to left center to end the game via the 10-run rule.
