LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team hosts both The Citadel and Queens University of Charlotte Saturday in Cormack Hall to close out the 2022-23 regular season. The program's seven seniors will be recognized prior to the match against The Citadel.

The first match is slated for 3:30 p.m., while the VMI/Queens bout is tentative set for 5 p.m.

The Keydets have been off for two weeks since defeating Davidson College 39-3 on Feb. 4. VMI won nine of the 10 matches, including four by pin. Freshman Ryan Vigil (149 pounds, 1:47), senior Zach Brown (184, 5:37), junior Tyler Mousaw (197, 1:53) and sophomore Josh Evans (285, 6:13) all won by fall. The Keydets are 8-7 overall and 2-5 in the Southern Conference.

About The Citadel:
The Bulldogs are 6-5 on the year and 2-5 in the Southern Conference. The Citadel defeated Davidson 22-15 before dropping matches to Campbell (27-9) and Bellarmine (22-14).

About Queens:
The Royals are 4-15 on the year and opened the season with a 45-0 defeat vs. The Citadel. Queens defeated Allen University (S.C.) 31-9 Sunday on Senior Day.
