LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team will hold its annual
intrasquad scrimmage Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in New Barracks on Post.
The Red Team will battle the Black Team and the bout will be scored just like a regular dual match.
"We are hosting this event for the third year in a row, and it is something we have come to look forward to," said head coach
Jim Gibson. "I feel it's by far the most unique Intrasquad match in college wrestling. It provides our wrestlers an early opportunity to make weight for a competition setting prior to beginning our regular season and a chance for them to display all their hard work from the last eight weeks in front of their fellow cadets. I'm looking forward to some competitive matches, it should be a fun night!"
