About the Keydets:
VMI opened Southern Conference play Saturday at Mercer, but fell 5-1. Conner Reid scored for on a feed from Viktor Petrusevski.

Kyle Grant and Dylan Holbach earned the Southern Conference Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, last week - the first SoCon weekly honor for the program since the 2002 season.

The Keydets defeated Mary Baldwin University 5-1 on Tuesday, the most tallies for program in a single game in 19 years.

About the Lancers:
Longwood is 3-2-2 after dropping a 1-0 decision Saturday against UNC Asheville. The Lancers have wins over Hampden-Sydney, Mount St. Mary's and Navy on the year. Emilio Segovia has two goals and two assists while Mason Butcher has also scored twice.  

History:
The Lancers defeated VMI 3-1 last August in Lexington, despite a Keydet goal from Zacharia Bouchachia on an assist from Grant Martin.
