LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI head men's soccer coach Max Watson has resigned his post, effective immediately.
Watson completed his second season as the head mentor of the VMI men's soccer program in the fall of 2021, with the team winning two of its first three games in the spring season and earning a victory and tie in the fall campaign.
Senior goalkeeper
Broden Schull earned second-team All-State honors after leading NCAA Division I in saves for the third-straight year.
Assistant coach
Gerard Miniaci will take over as the interim head coach. Miniaci returned to VMI for the 2020 (2021 spring) season after completing two seasons as a member of the NCAA Division III New England College men's soccer coaching staff in Henniker, N.H. Prior to NEC, he was the assistant coach with the men's program at VMI.
