BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The VMI women's water polo team dropped a pair of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches Sunday, 16-9 to Saint Francis Brooklyn and 17-8 to Long Island University.

Genevieve Petrassi scored three goals against St. Francis Brooklyn with six steals and Sydney Shettleroe had two goals, an assist and five drawn exclusions. Makenna Moore had a goal, an assist and three steals and Kiara Anguiano, Caragh Osborne and Ellie Pickford also scored.

Katie Lloyd made seven stops.

Shettleroe had a hat trick in the second match while Anguiano and Moore each had two goals. Petrassi had a goal, two assists and three steals and Osborne had three assists.
Maddie Berry had two assists and Lloyd made 12 stops.

The Keydets will host four opponents in MAAC action next weekend in Clark King Pool.
