LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI women's water polo team heads back to New York State for the second-straight weekend with four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches scheduled. The Keydets played at Wagner and Iona Colleges last Sunday.
VMI is slated to play at Siena and Marist Colleges Saturday, at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. The Keydets start Sunday action with Saint Francis Brooklyn at 10 a.m. and finish off the weekend at Long Island University at 3:30 p.m.
Junior
Sydney Shettleroe is coming off a huge game at Iona on Sunday. She scored two goals with one assist and set a new school record with eight drawn exclusions. Shettleroe posted three goals and one assist in Sunday's other game at #15 Wagner.
On the season, she leads the squad with 47 goals, 58 points and 25 drawn exclusions.
Senior
Genevieve Petrassi is tied for fourth in the conference with 37 steals in just 20 matches. She ranks second on the team in goals (36) and points (55) and tied for first with 19 assists.
