LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI women's water polo team heads to New York state Sunday for a pair of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches, first against #15 Wagner College at 10 a.m., followed by Iona College at 3 p.m.
The contest at Wagner will take place in Staten Island in the Spiro sports Center and will be broadcast on NEC Front Row, while the matchup with Iona is in New Rochelle at the Hynes Center Pool and broadcast on the Iona Insider.
This will be the second meeting between the squad in the last week, as the Keydets hosted both teams in Clark King Pool on Sunday, March 20, but dropped both matches.
VMI hosted four conference games last weekend, with Villanova and La Salle joining Wagner and Iona. Senior
Genevieve Petrassi notched six goals, six assists and 10 steals in the four matches, while
Makenna Moore tallied a team-best nine goals with four assists.
Sydney Shettleroe found the back of the net eight times with five assists and
Maddie Berry had eight assists.
Courtney Novotny had seven goals with five steals.
VMI travels back to New York next weekend for four more MAAC matches.
